Prior to co-founding Olsen Ziegler Realty, Chris was a REALTOR with Re/Max Classic, Howard Hanna, and Smythe Cramer in the Greater Cleveland area, and previously with Weichert REALTORS in the Washington, D.C. marketplace. He was also employed by Cleveland’s oldest and most well-respected commercial real estate appraisal firm as a commercial real estate appraiser. Chris spent sixteen years in the information technology field serving in various capacities from software engineer to project manager and worked as an independent consultant for Fortune 10 companies and for highly successful Internet and telecommunication start-up companies, including a company that made "IPO of the Year."

About Julie Ziegler...

nullJulie is Owner/Agent of Olsen Ziegler Realty. She is a multi-million dollar producer representing buyers and sellers across the Greater Cleveland area. Julie works with sellers in transforming their home for sale via written reports for staging, redesign and/or renovation. She recognizes the importance of presentation and the fact that first impressions are crucial. Therefore, she provides sellers with all of the ingredients for achieving buyer appeal. For her most recent home stagings, redesigns and renovations go to 2200 N. St. James and 1381 Oakridge. Julie is always sensitive to a seller’s budget and time, therefore, she provides various ideas and suggestions for a home’s transformation which includes no-cost or inexpensive methods.

Julie works with Chris on the development of creative, high-quality, innovative marketing materials for each seller. Again, presentation is crucial, and pictures tell a thousand words. Julie and Chris are both keenly aware that the majority of buyers start their property searches via the Internet, therefore, Julie spends hours ensuring that each property is presented at its very best—from taking pictures on a sunny day to capturing important features in a room, to providing descriptive text for each photograph.

Julie also uses her creative abilities with buyers when viewing properties. She recognizes that some buyers have a hard time visualizing beyond what is in front of them. Many times, a buyer will fall in love with a home’s location, but not the home, or fall in love with a home and a location, but something is not quite right. Julie can help them sort through their misgivings by suggesting ideas for redesign or renovation that they did not consider.

Prior to co-founding Olsen Ziegler Realty, Julie spent twenty years in medical research including pediatric AIDS, infant mortality, adolescent medicine, and nephrology. She served as a project manager on various federal government-funded studies and was responsible for staffing, budgets, and research study operations. Much of her time was spent at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and, upon moving to Cleveland, at MetroHealth Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).

Julie and Chris have two children and two Labrador Retrievers. Chris enjoys bike riding, hiking, drawing and cooking. Julie enjoys reading (everything from novels to home magazines), music, and shopping for clients as well as helping out at a local elementary school clinic. Most of family time is centered on their daughter’s equestrian activities and their son’s sports activities.
